Esme has a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and is one of our social care experts for EHCP appeals and First-Tier Tribunals (SEND) hearings. Esme established SEND Support Banbury in 2022 because SEND has been part of her families life for the last nine years when her eldest son was diagnosed with autism, ADHD and sensory processing disorder. Her younger son is also autistic and she was most recently diagnosed autistic at the age of 36.
Through SEND Support Banbury, Esme provides 1:1 direct work and group sessions for children and young people and explores; SEND, identity, emotional regulation, self-esteem, poor mental health and vulnerabilities to exploitation, with them. She also provides training and support to classroom staff. If you are the parent or carer of a child living with SEND, and live in the Banbury area, why not meet up with Esme for tea and coffee every other Monday during term time at the Cromwell Lodge Hotel in Banbury between 09:30 – 11:00.
When she has a moment to relax, Esme likes to spend days out with her family, lives for her holidays and enjoys watching real crime documentaries.
