Marlene Robinson
Marlene qualified as a Social Worker in 2020, completing a BSc (Hons) in Social Work at Buckinghamshire New University. She began her career in adult social care, working across community and hospital-based teams. Since qualifying, Marlene has specialised in adult and older adult mental health, gaining extensive experience in care coordination, safeguarding, crisis intervention, and mental capacity assessments.
Marlene has worked in both local authority and NHS settings, holding roles such as Senior Social Worker, Mental Health Practitioner, and Safeguarding Officer. Marlene also works in ad-hoc positions providing urgent out-of-hours safeguarding and mental health crisis support. Marlene is passionate about person-centred care, and brings a calm, grounded approach to high-pressure environments. She is PEP2 (Practice Educator / Supervisor) qualified and has a strong interest in mental capacity, hospital discharge planning, and adult safeguarding practice.
When she is not working, Marlene enjoys travelling and immersing herself in different cultures. She also plays netball regularly and enjoys staying active as part of a team.
